From the moment we got there, the atmosphere was peaceful and the landscape beautiful. The cottage was so well appointed, clean and freshly renovated kitchen and bathroom and the fire kept us all so warm. We just loved chopping our own wood and collecting fresh eggs! Lovely property, clean and tastefully decorated accommodation with thoughtful details. Everything you could need in a full kitchen. My boy (6 & 9) had an absolute ball being shown the horses and how to feed the cows and load firewood by your children. The Adaminaby Easter Fair was an unexpected highlight and the property was an easy day trip to the Snowy Mountains for walks and views. Rhiannon 21/4/2022
This is our second time staying at Fontenoy and it was as wonderful as the first time. Plenty of space to explore and relax away from the hustle and bustle. It was a perfect week to spend time as a family and recharge. This is now a repeat holiday that our family will forward to, we can’t wait to be back. Sarah - 26/4/2022

A wonderful place to get away from it all and just relax. The cottage was very comfortable and all the required amenities. We especially enjoyed eating the farm fresh eggs on the veranda every morning. We will definitely come back at some point. David - 17/01/2022
I honestly cannot recommend this beautiful place enough. My family had the most wonderful time staying here over Christmas & New Year. We were made to feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage is just so fabulous and cosy, and had absolutely everything we needed. The location is just stunning!We enjoyed being there so much that we often just spent our days down by the river fishing and having picnics. my boys loved catching rainbow trout, we had them a few nights for dinner. We also took our border collie who absolutely loved meeting the farm dogs and horses…..I can’t wait to go back there again one day, this really is a very special place. Fiona - 13/01/2022
We had a great week at Fontenoy Farm. The property is really well provisioned and extremely cosy when the log fire is lit. Everything you could wish for is in the property and the hosts are extremely helpful. We would absolutely return for another stay. John - 3/7/2021

This getaway was everything we hoped of, and more. The property was Heaven for 3 busy kids, a beloved family dog, and 2 parents who were in need of some downtime with their family and wanted a little adventure.The wonderful host, wide open spaces to run in, the paddocks to explore freely, the cosy fireplace, the uninterrupted view of the night sky, the peace and quiet, the amazing firsts like seeing wild platypus in the river……all these things and more are the reasons we can’t wait to go back. “We have stayed at Fontenoy on a few occasions now, and loved every minute of our stay. It is located in a beautiful part of the Snowy Mountains.
The Cottage is clean and warm and has everything you need. The farm itself is absolutely awesome for kids. There’s chickens, cows, wombats and kangaroos (we’ve even spotted platypus in the dam and river). Our kids also spend their time bike riding, playing ball sports and exploring.
My wife and I enjoy unwinding around the open fire with a glass of wine, watching the fields change colour in the afternoon sun.
There’s many different areas to explore on the farm which makes it great for hiking. We like to take long walks along the beautiful Murrumbidgee River which borders part of the farm or walk up to the edge of the Kosciuszko National Park for stunning views of the Australian alps.
The local fishing and skiing is amazing, we have taken many day trips to Mount Selwyn for skiing and lakes Eucumbene and Jindabyne for fishing (we have caught many a trout in the Murrumbidgee on the farm!)
It’s also only a 5 minute drive to the Friendly township of Adaminaby for a coffee, dinner or supplies.
Staying at Fontenoy is a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend staying”
