A Wonderful Experience
“We have stayed at Fontenoy on a few occasions now, and loved every minute of our stay. It is located in a beautiful part of the Snowy Mountains.
The Cottage is clean and warm and has everything you need. The farm itself is absolutely awesome for kids. There’s chickens, cows, wombats and kangaroos (we’ve even spotted platypus in the dam and river). Our kids also spend their time bike riding, playing ball sports and exploring.
My wife and I enjoy unwinding around the open fire with a glass of wine, watching the fields change colour in the afternoon sun.
There’s many different areas to explore on the farm which makes it great for hiking. We like to take long walks along the beautiful Murrumbidgee River which borders part of the farm or walk up to the edge of the Kosciuszko National Park for stunning views of the Australian alps.
The local fishing and skiing is amazing, we have taken many day trips to Mount Selwyn for skiing and lakes Eucumbene and Jindabyne for fishing (we have caught many a trout in the Murrumbidgee on the farm!)
It’s also only a 5 minute drive to the Friendly township of Adaminaby for a coffee, dinner or supplies.
Staying at Fontenoy is a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend staying”

“This getaway was everything we hoped of, and more. The property was heaven for 3 busy kids, and a beloved family dog, and 2 parents who were in need of some downtime with their family and wanted a little adventure.
The wonderful host, the wide open spaces to run in, the paddocks to explore freely, the cosy fireplace, the uninterrupted view of the night sky, the peace and quiet, and the amazing firsts like seeing wild platypus playing win the river…. all these things and more are the reason we can’t wait to go back.”
